56° thin film polarizers are specifically designed to meet the demands of high-performance applications involving Nd lasers operating within the 1040-1070 nm range, as well as femtosecond Ti:Sapphire or Yb:KGW/KYW lasers.
56° Thin film polarizers effectively separate the s- and p-polarized components of a specific wavelength or wavelength range. With an impressive laser damage threshold of up to 10 J/cm² at 1064 nm at 10 ns, our 56° thin film polarizers are ideal replacements for Glan Laser polarizing prisms or polarizing cube beamsplitters in applications requiring high energy lasers.
These 56° thin film polarizers find extensive use in high-energy laser systems. They can be employed for Yb:KGW/KYW ,Ti:Sapphire lasers, and Nd:YAG including their fundamental wavelength and harmonics, as well as for intracavity Q-switch hold-off polarizers and extracavity attenuators. To ensure optimal performance with minimal losses, it is recommended to utilize thin film laser polarizers at the Brewster angle of 56° ±2°.
